The Zurich University of Arts ZHdKhas around 2300 students and is one of Europe’s largest art schools. The diverse study and research programme includes design, film, art, media, music, dance, theatre, art education and transdisciplinarity. The new Toni-Areal campus brings all the disciplines together under one roof. zhdK offers future designers a wide range of artistic-creative courses at bachelor's and master's level, such as in game design, visual communication or scientific visualisation. Research is undertaken by the Institute for Design Research.

The Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich (founded in 1969 as the SwissBanking Institute) has broad expertise in its four core areas of banking, corporate finance, financial economics and quantitative finance.Topics of particular interest include financial market regulation, value reporting, corporategovernance, market liquidity, behavioural finance, environmental finance and assetpricing. The Department fosters a spirit of interdisciplinarity. The Department of Banking and Finance provides knowledge transfer at the highest level and has also designed an executive teaching programme that caters to the needs of professionals.
